A working (external) Audio Memory Prosthesis

Sunil Vemuri of MIT has demonstrated a working memory prosthesis system using a digital audio recorder. The recordings are processed by desktop speech-to-text software and then indexed so they can be accessed by a special search interface.

His work is a good example of part of my desired neural prosthesis.

VR displays

OSNews is running a review of these VR Head Mounted Displays which cost less than $200.

I doubt I'll be buying these, but it is exciting that something like this is available for such a low price.
