Status Update
I haven't made much actual progress on my core projects, however, things are coming together. Firstly, I finally got a new Mac: a totally pimped out Mac mini. This is going to be my primary workstation for the immediate future.
Now that my honey is working evenings, I'm going to start working on my two core projects for a couple hours every night. First priority goes to my Androids, with the initial focus going to IOL. Over the next week or so, I want to get a basic IOL editor working at the command line. After that, real work can commence on the IOL interpreter.
The big break-through on this project was that I can easily use MacOSX 10.4's support for arbitrary file attributes to get around the whole MCFS chicken-and-egg problem. I can use HFS+ attributes until I have IOL well enough defined to create MCFS. This greatly simplifies the project.
Work on porting Cyborg Search to the command line will recommence whenever I need a break from my IOL efforts.
Towards the end of the year, the real robotics work will begin!
